Up date

As most of you know, I am at the LDS hospital with Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia, also known as ALL. I have been through an emotional roller coster these last couple of days..this is something you never want to hear! Let me tell you a little about my last couple of days.
I have had bone marrow biopsy's, chest exrays, spinal taps, and lots of blood draws. I started my steroid treatments today and hopefully will be able to go to Colten's graduation tomorrow. Most of you will see me , but please know that my immune system is not worth crap, so just wave. I am going to keep my spirits up and do everything in my power to beat this. I have a wonderful support system with family and friends and want you all to know how much I love and appreciate you all! Until next time...

  1. Geneice,
I am so sorry you have to go through this. You will be in my prayers. I have come to learn through my daughters illness that through great trials come GREATER Blessing.. I know this journey will be hard but if God brings you to it, he will bring you through it. Trust that his will be done and look for every little blessing.. On the days that are the hardest for you try to reach out to someone else and be a blessing to them it will end up being a blessing to you. You will be touched by many people that you meet on the way and you will touch so many as you fight the good fight.. God bless you! Please know I am here and would love to help you in any way I can.. 5. Geneice,
You are in our thoughts and prayers everyday! If I can help out with the boys in any way I would love to. They are practically my boys to. Colten, Bud, and Kody went fishing in the Malad last night. Kody was pretty proud that he caught the biggest fish. Those boys have so much fun together. It is amazing to me that they have stayed so close all these years. Mike is checking up with Bud on his Eagle stuff. They finished the project last week. Mike said that the paperwork is all that is left and he told Bud he would be glad to help him fill it out. I reminded Mike tonight that he needed to keep checking with Bud. It will be so fun to have the boys get their Eagles together this summer. Keep the faith! We are pulling for you and want to do what we can to help. Love ya!

  6. Geneice, I am glad you have this information available. It will be nice to be able to keep up with what is happening without having to bother your family all the time. Keep your chin up and have a positive attitude. That will take you far in your journey. If you need to talk or need help with anything, don't hesitate to call me. Lori

  9. Hey Geneice, I have been wondering when I should call. I have been antsy to talk to you and let you know that we are with you during this. I am constantly calling mom to see if she has updates, so this will be a good way to send you messages and keep up on the advancements. When I was first explaining things to the girls Kennedi said, "I'm sure glad she has a lot of doctors that care about her." I am too. I trust them and I trust your body will be strengthened to fight this. We are praying for you in every prayer and thinking about you all day long. We love you.

  16. Geneice: Even though I am far away, my prayers arn't! I was just telling my boys the other day about growing up and playing ball in the gutter between my grandparents house and yours...choice memories. Take each moment one step at a time. You are choice! Love you much!

ALL Bites... but I guess there are some things that you just can't choose in this life. Here's hoping that all of our combined hope and prayers can really do a miracle.

  19. There are moments in every life that define who we are; moments of decision or transition, of epiphany, tragedy or triumph. The lessons we choose to take away from such times become the building blocks of character, maybe even the cornerstones of legacy. And while it’s wonderful to be able to look back and recognize the very blink in which an opportunity is born, it’s more wonderful still if we can appreciate it in real time, while it yet unfolds.
